The mission of Field & Fences is to allow all riders to feel comfortable and confident, including those pregnant and postpartum. 

With seamless support and compression similar to a belly band found in maternity apparel, this riding breech gives the security and comfort female riders need. 

The breeches will provide an opportunity for the rider to feel confident both in and out of the saddle.

About Stephanie Field Staner

MY PASSION AND CAREER IS RIDING HORSES.

I’ve been the owner and manager of River Ridge Stables, Inc. for over 20 years, where I facilitate horse boarding, lessons, clinics, and camps. My husband and I built my equestrian facility on a 200 acre ranch and have over forty horses on the property.

My vision to start Field & Fences began 9 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child.

During my pregnancy, I spent days and nights in the barn training both horses and riders, all while working in the equine industry. Through research and experience, I quickly found out there were no companies who offered maternity riding breeches for women.  

Having three cesarean sections, I struggled to find breeches that offered me enough support and didn’t have seams that would press into my incision. I was amazed these options weren’t available to avid equestrians like myself. 

I, along with the majority of my clients, wear riding breeches almost daily. There’s a clear need for maternity breeches, as well as breeches that offer support for women postpartum and beyond. 

This design is meant to be multi-functional for women of all shapes and sizes whether they are pregnant or not.  I’m confident they’ll provide women the security and confidence both in the saddle and out.
